Internal medicine includes treating essentially everything other than orthopaedic problems! At Magnolia House Veterinary Clinic, we have a wide range of in-house equipment to help us diagnose and treat many complex medical cases:

  • laboratory - we can analyse blood samples (biochemistry, haematology, electrolytes, blood gases, some infectious diseases), skin samples, urine samples, faecal samples, joint fluid, thoracic and abdominal effusions, and fine needle aspirates
  • x-rays
  • ultrasound, including colour doppler - for non-invasive examination of the heart and abdominal organs
  • rigid endoscopy - used to look inside the nose, throat, and bladder (female dogs only)
